Banana Breakfast Wrap

Start your morning with a delicious breakfast that provides a good dose of nutrients.

This easy to make recipe calls for bananas, almond butter, strawberries among other ingredients that provide you with great benefits.


Bananas are a great source of fiber, potassium, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B6. They are good for your heart, give you energy, and aid with digestion.


Almond butter is an excellent way to access the benefits of almonds. It is a great source of protein, fiber, and monounsaturated fats which are all essential for heart health. It also provides Vitamin E, phosphorus, copper, Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), and magnesium. It has seven times more calcium than peanut butter.


Strawberries are an excellent source of Vitamin C, Vitamin B9 (folate), potassium, and manganese. They are rich in antioxidants which can decrease oxidative stress.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Medium gluten-free Tortilla

  • 2 Tbsp Almond butter

  • 6 Medium Strawberries (thinly sliced)

  • 1 Medium Banana (thinly sliced) or 1 Whole Banana (if preferred whole)

  • 2 Tbsp Rolled Oats- Gluten Free

  • 1 Tbsp Chia seeds, ground

  • 1 Tbsp Honey


Instructions


1. Spread almond butter all over tortilla wrap. 2. Scatter strawberries and banana on top. Or place the whole banana if preferred to use whole instead of sliced. 3. Sprinkle oats and chia seeds on top of the fruit. Drizzle fruits and butter with honey.  Roll up the wrap and Enjoy!
