1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
2. Prepare two cookie sheets for baking by covering it with parchment paper.
3. Once oven is preheated, it will be time to prepare the apples. First, wash and dry the apples.
4. Core the apples (you can skip this step if you don't mind the seeds).
5. You will want the slices really thin, so cut carefully with a sharp knife, a paring knife or a mandolin (recommended). Cut the apples horizontally into 1/8 inch slices (leave the skin on).
6. Lay out the apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, not touching each other.
7. Sprinkle pinches of cinnamon evenly over the apple slices .
8. Bake for 1 hour on one side and then turn each slice over. Continue to bake them for another 45 minutes to 1 hour. Enjoy!
NOTES
Some apples contain more moisture than others. The total cooking time will vary based on the thickness of each slice and the moisture content of your apple.
Thin 1/8 inch slices are best. Thicker slices are tasty as well, but may not be crispy.
Once baked, apple chips will crisp as they cool off.
Best when enjoyed the same day. Apple chips can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
Apple chips can be enjoyed as is, or chopped and sprinkled over oatmeal, yogurt or salads.
